Artist statement
I am of the opinion that art, especially abstract art, should speak for itself. The last thing that I want to do is tell you what you should see or feel from my paintings. What I can say for sure though is that my art is an expression of my state of being in the moment that it is created and I rarely have a preconceived idea as to how the end result will be. Abstract painting is a form of childlike play for me where I allow my feelings and intuition to guide and direct the blending of color, shape, contrast, and texture. Often, I find that the pieces that I experience the most resonance with, appear to create themselves, and I witness myself simply as a conduit for that expression to manifest itself onto a canvas or other media.
ARTIST BIO
The best way that I can describe Alessandro is as an accidental painter. He never had any clue that painting was even a talent of his until his guide and mentor, Prabhuji, David Har-Zion, encouraged him to experiment and make abstract art as a form of meditative play. It wasn’t until the fall of 2018, upon arrival in Madrid, Spain that he finally heeded this advice and within the space of 3 weeks, painted his first dozen abstract paintings. Without any formal training, and simply following his intuitive feeling, Alessandro has continued to paint prolifically. Currently, he is collaborating with Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid and 3 of his recent pieces were exhibited at the Bruxelles Art Fair.
